In this poster, I pay homage to Oxumaré, the powerful rainbow serpent god revered in Afro-Brazilian and Afro-Cuban traditions. His presence is a reminder of the potential for transformation and the promise of new beginnings.

Here, Oxumaré is portrayed with influences from Hindu mythology, akin to the great Shiva, the god of creation and destruction. This fusion highlights Oxumaré's multifaceted nature and his universal powers of transformation. His divine energy flows through the vibrant colours of the rainbow, symbolising hope and renewal.

In Afro-Cuban traditions, Oxumaré is sometimes syncretised with the Catholic Saint Francis of Assisi, bridging cultural and spiritual worlds. This poster captures the essence of Oxumaré, inviting viewers to embrace change and celebrate the endless cycle of life.
